naily

Paint the nails. Get glitter everywhere. Nothing to clean up.

A pretend nail salon that fits on a tablet. Scrub off last week’s polish, pick a colour, seal it under a top coat — then wipe it all off and start again.

Three layers, in the order a real salon does them

Clean

Last week’s polish is chipped and it has to come off. Scrub with a soapy sponge, a file or a buffer until every nail is bare.

Paint

Pick a colour and a pattern, then drag across the nails. The polish goes on from the cuticle up, one nail at a time or all five in a stroke.

Polish

Seal it under a top coat — glass gloss, velvet matte, chrome, a rainbow holo — and press a charm on top.

What is on the trolley

Every pattern works with every colour and every top coat, so the combinations run into the thousands before a charm is pressed on.

Play does not need an account and saved manicures stay in the browser on that device. An account exists only so the shelf follows you between a tablet and a laptop; nothing on it is public and nothing is shared.
