Made for a four-year-old
- Nothing can be got wrong. No timer, no score, no losing. A colour she has gone off is replaced by painting over it.
- Nothing can be got stuck on. The Next button is always live, and every step can be revisited from the bar at the top.
- Nothing depends on reading. Every control is a shape or a small picture of what it does. The words underneath are for you.
- Big targets. The nails have generous edges and a dragged finger paints every nail it crosses, because a small hand is not precise.
- Sound is a toggle in the corner, on by default, remembered between visits.
- Motion respects your device. With reduced motion turned on, the sparkles do not fire.
For grown-ups
There are no advertisements, no chat, no leaderboard and no third-party scripts. The page loads its own code and nothing else — not even a webfont.The one exception is a visit counter from lytics.lp-data.cloud, which is ours too: it counts visits and which accounts signed in, sets no cookies and never sees what she paints.
Play does not need an account and saved manicures stay in the browser on that device. An account exists only so the shelf follows you between a tablet and a laptop; nothing on it is public and nothing is shared.
A finished manicure can be sent to someone as a link, with the send button under it. The link is made on your device and says only what is on the nails; it goes wherever you choose to send it and nowhere else. Whoever opens it gets the salon with that hand on the table, and no account. It can also be kept or sent as a picture: the hand, naily’s address and a code that opens the same manicure. The picture is drawn on your device and only leaves it if you download or send it.

Publishers can embed the guest salon. Embedded play skips accounts and analytics; browser rules may block saves or keep them separate. A grown-up can open naily in a new tab. Hosting sites have their own privacy practices, which naily does not control.
